The Best Wine In The Tasmanian Chardonnay Tradition

Chardonnay is not a wine we produce lightly; Providence Vineyards prides itself on only using the best possible fruit at the perfect point of ripeness. There are years, half-decades where we don’t produce chardonnays simply because we can’t assure the highest level of quality for the wine. Providence didn’t make a wine in this style from 2007 to 2010 because of this pursuit of quality.

Fortunately for us, 2012 was a year it all came together. Our release from that year was named in honour of the family who built our vineyard. The 2012 Providence “Miguet” Reserve Tasmanian Chardonnay is a triumph of the style – lovely ripe fruit notes perfectly tempered with the light French oak taste many love the style for. While beautiful now, another five years in a cellar will only improve it and transform the existing acidity into something special.

Order online and enjoy by itself or with chicken, pork or a creamy pasta for dinner, or with peaches, mangos or macadamias.

One of the best chardonnays available online

Our Tasmanian wines are built in the grand style of their European ancestors and cousins. Our mild summers and longer autumns mean our state is able to better capture the magic of old world chardonnays. We like to think we’ve managed to capture that lightning in a bottle. Consider our range of Riesling, pinot noir, sparkling and rose for your next function or next dinner with friends. Whatever the event, a bottle from Providence Vineyards will be well-appreciated.
