Firm acid with lovely citrus nose and flavour.

8% residual sugar so softer and aromatic, very popular at cellar door.

2006 Bream Creek Cabernet Sauvignon

Details

This Cabernet Sauvignon is from Fred Peacock’s northern vineyard at Rowella. This year’s vintage has a higher % of Merlot hence the name change.

14% alc/vol

Tasting Notes

A well balanced wine with ripe cassis berry fruit and subtle oak aromas. The soft silky palate is mouthfilling, with a full mid palate embracing blackberry, blackcurrant and seasoned oak characters.

Gold medal and trophy winner at the 2008 Tasmanian Wine Show.

A big juicy New York cut eye fillet, rare with no sauce or venison (also rare) with plum and ginger sauce.

Tasting Notes

A full bodied red that we have enjoyed selling for a number of vintages. The 2006 vintage is no exception, showing depth of character with blackcurrant and ripe berrys, overlaid with fine oak and a touch of Bordeaux delicacy.

Food Suggestions

Try some Tasmanian Bennets wallaby rare with plum and ginger sauce, or a New York cut eye fillet.
