Schonburger is a hybrid variety, made from Pinot Noir crossed with another variety.
The grapes are grown at Fred Peacock’s Bream Creek Vineyard in the South of Tasmania and the wine has been made by Stefano Lubiana.
Drink now or within 6 years.
This rare wine has a delicate aromatic bouquet with floral, rose petal and tropical fruit characters.
The palate is soft, elegant and fesh with delightful floral notes and a fresh, crisp, dry finish.
A well structured wine that will further develop with age.
Similar to Pinot Gris and Traminer in its use, Schonburger is lovely served with Indian food and Thai green curry, as well as seafood salads.
